Lights Up! Playwrights Take the Stage

Mingei Museum in Balboa Park

Join us at the Mingei Museum in Balboa Park, where we will announce the winners of the annual California Young Playwrights Contest. Winning scripts will be produced in the 30th Season of Plays by Young Writers in The Old Globe's Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre in January 2015. Accomplished playwright and Playwrights Project alumna Lisa Kirazian will recount her experiences with playwriting. Light refreshments will be served. Tickets are $10/person.

Playwrights in Process: New Play Festival

We are proud to announce the playwrights and captivating plays that will be a part of the third annual Playwrights in Process, Cygnet Theatre's new play festival produced in partnership with Playwrights Project. Each reading will be followed by a conversation with the playwright. Plus, the festival will offer three lively workshops designed to introduce curious audiences to the art of new play development.
