is open for submissions!
Playwrights Project invites students to submit scripts to the 35th California Young Playwrights Contest for Californians under the age of 19.
There is no entry fee, and every young writer who requests feedback on their script will receive an email or letter with suggestions for future revisions. The writers of winning plays are assigned a playwriting mentor to further develop their piece, and the resulting scripts are professionally produced in Playwrights Project's annual Plays by Young Writers Festival at a professional theater in San Diego.
