Returned Writers Circle

Our Returned Writers Circle provides a community of support for individuals returning home after incarceration.

The group welcomes individuals who have been involved in the justice system, were a part of Playwrights Project’s Arts in Corrections programs, who are justice impacted (e.g. family members or loved ones) and allies (e.g. other service providers working in the justice system). The group provides a network of support, offering opportunities for artmaking and attending arts events.

The program began as a warm welcome back to the community, for Arts in Corrections alumni and opportunities to continue writing, connecting and flourishing! The group meets for writing sessions, sharing of resources, theatre field trips, and presentations of works to the public.
