Playwrights Project Camp at 
New Village Arts
   WRITE YOUR OWN PLAY!

In this 5-day camp for ages 11-14, participants will be guided through the process of taking an idea and turning it into a finished play that will be performed by professional actors on the last day of camp. Camp will be taught by Playwrights Project Teaching Artist Aleta Barthell.

Final Performance of student work!

Professional actors will read scenes of students' scripts from Ms. Alison Tickle's Drama class at Oakcrest Middle School. Students participated in a Playwrights Project Write On! playwriting residency made possible by the City of Encinitas and Mizel Family Foundation Community Grant Program.
